The homeland of this plant is the valley of the Nile River, it was from this place that Senna arrived in other countries. Since it was exported it from the port city of Alexandria, to many countries (including Russia), Fan Xie was known for a long time as the 'Alexandrian leaf'. Further cultivation of senna bushes for medical use started in India, Pakistan and Kazakhstan.
Senna leaves are widely used as one of the main ingredients of weight-loss tablets and teas , due to its mild laxative effect. Regular use of Senna leaves normalizes the bowel and in a fairly short period of time helped to get rid of excess weight. A decoction of Senna leaves can be a great addition to the diet.
