This tea turns tea drinking into an aesthetic pleasure, because when brewing, the "tea pearl" opens its petals and turns into a beautiful flower. Tea with flowers is a perfect taste combination, which will appeal to even the most demanding tea gourmets. Usually for such compositions osmanthus, lilies, gomphrena and jasmine flowers are used.
For the base of this tea, tender leaves of green tea (white and red teas are also found) are collected: unfermented leaves are easier to shape. A bunch of equal-sized tea leaves are wrapped around the dried flower by hand and bound with a thread, leaving space between the leaves so that the tea opens gradually during the brewing process. An experienced tea master spends up to ten minutes binding the tea, depending on its required form. Bound tea exists in various variations: balls, hearts, cones, and dragons.
