GABA teas, or as they are also called "gabarons", are especially recommended for older people – they perfectly support the functions of the brain, protecting against age-related diseases, such as Parkinson's and Alzheimer's. Gaba teas are not as popular in mainland China, many people have not even heard of them. This happens because they are produced in small quantities, the biggest share of which are exported.
Gabaron, made on the basis of red tea, is in great demand in the northern countries: it warms well and suits the tastes of locals. However, in China and Taiwan, this tea is not met very often, oolongs are preferred by the Asian nations.
