Ginseng Oolong is a real healing elixir, it combines all the useful properties of tea and the "root of immortality" - ginseng. But ginseng is not the only ingredient, very often licorice and other herbs are added All herbs are crumpled into powder, and then dried, in order to sprinkle tea leaves with them. In China this tea is often called "jade", as the tea leaves of Ginseng Oolong are very similar to this stone, beloved by all the Chinese.
To date Ginseng oolong is mainly produced in Fujian and Taiwan. There are two different processing technologies - sprinkling with ginseng powder and flavor introduction. The first technology often uses a mixture of herbs - ginseng, licorice and osmanthus. The second technology is more complex, it involves preparation of extracts from the root of ginseng and soaking of tea leaves with it. The quality of raw materials is especially important here, and therefore such tea is more expensive. The Chinese themselves say that the "yin" and "yan" proportions are perfectly respected in this tea, so that it can fully maintain the energy balance in the body.
